Independent Laboratory Results

Concentration, pH, microbial counts and endotoxin, with each result explained below.

Benzyl Alcohol

9.5 mg/mL

What was measured: 9.5 mg of benzyl alcohol per mL, compared with a 9 mg/mL label claim (0.9%).

This is a concentration result for sample 46417-5, batch 24BW326, job ACS2646417.

pH

6.0

The tested sample measured pH 6.0. pH measures acidity or alkalinity.

Sample 46417-5, batch 24BW326, job ACS2646417. This result is in the same ACS report as the benzyl alcohol test.

MICROBIAL ENUMERATION

<10 CFU/g

Both counts were below 10 CFU/g: total aerobic microbes and total yeast & mould. CFU means colony-forming units; 10 CFU/g is the report’s limit of reporting.

This is a microbial count result, not a sterility test or a claim of zero organisms. Sample BT1010218-A/1.

BACTERIAL ENDOTOXIN

<0.25 EU/mL

What was measured: bacterial endotoxin below 0.25 EU/mL. EU/mL means endotoxin units per millilitre; endotoxin testing measures bacterial components rather than a count of live bacteria.

The report gives a less-than result, not absolute zero. Sample BT1010218-B/001, method M63 Endotoxin LAL.

How to read a lab result

Specification vs result: the specification is the target or limit; the result is what the laboratory measured. mg/mL measures concentration, % w/w measures content by weight, and ppm means parts per million.

“Not detected” and “less than”: ND means the laboratory did not detect the substance within its test capability. A “<” result is below the stated reporting value. Neither means an absolute zero.

Each report applies to its identified sample and tests. Check the batch, date and method. An ingredient certificate describes that ingredient sample; it does not measure every active dose in the finished product.

Results apply to the samples tested. See full reports for methods and report references.
